BV witnessed the official unveiling of the first six star zero carbon factory in the water purification industry in Qinyuan

Recently, the first "six star zero carbon factory" in China's water purification industry was unveiled at the Qinyuan Cixi factory. At the 5th China International Import Expo in 2022, Qinyuan Cixi Factory was awarded the "Six Star Zero Carbon Factory" certification by Bureau of Commerce for its advantages in intelligence, digitization, and renewable energy utilization. This marks that the Qinyuan Cixi factory has achieved 100% green energy use in manufacturing and operation on the basis of independent emission reduction, and thus has become a model for enterprises in Ningbo, Zhejiang to improve quality, efficiency, and green transformation.

Under the constraints of "dual control of energy consumption" in China, "zero carbon factories" have become a hot topic in the industrial field for a while. In the face of the upcoming tightening of carbon emission policies and the implementation of green trade barriers such as carbon tariffs in multiple countries and regions in the future, low-carbon development and zero carbon transformation have gradually become one of the strategic goals of enterprises. To address the pain points of enterprise zero carbon factory construction and fill the gap in standards, the "Zero Carbon Factory Evaluation Specification" group standard has emerged.

The highest level "Six Star Zero Carbon Factory" is the strictest requirement in the industry, which means that the factory must achieve zero carbon while achieving no carbon offsetting, provided that the evaluation score reaches 100 points. It is not easy for Qinyuan Cixi Factory to successfully obtain a six star zero carbon factory this time. With its advantages in intelligence, digitization, and renewable energy utilization, Qinyuan has achieved the use of 100% green energy in manufacturing and operation, achieving 100% cleaning. This not only consolidates the benchmark position and brand competitiveness of Qinyuan in the industry, but also demonstrates the determination to practice the dual carbon goal.

Under the wave of green development, Bureau Veritas calls for more enterprises like Qinyuan to use "zero carbon factories" as one of the important means to implement the dual carbon goals, join energy upgrading and building green factories projects, and ultimately achieve green transformation and dual carbon goals.
