Bureau Veritas became one of the credit acceptance agencies in the first batch of catalog reviewed by China Customs

Bureau Veritas Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Guangzhou have become the credit acceptance agencies in the first batch of catalog reviewed by China Customs.

Recently, China Customs has announced the first batch of credit acceptance agencies following the Administrative Measures of the China Customs for Import and Export Commodities Inspection and Acceptance which came into effect on December 1, 2022. The implementation of the credit acceptance work will help shorten customs clearance times and promote trade facilitation.

According to the requirements of Administrative Measures, credit acceptance agencies may accept the entrustment of consignees and consignors of import and export goods or their agents to conduct inspections on accepted commodities and issue inspection reports. The consignee and consignor of import and export goods or their agents can complete customs clearance process directly with the inspection reports, thereby accelerating customs clearance.
