Bureau Veritas and Bureau of Emergency Management of Tianjin Communicate to Jointly Promote Safe Production of Enterprises
Recently, Wei Yungang, Vice President of Bureau Veritas and General Manager of Oil & Gas and Chemical Business Group, Lily Zhang, Director of Government Affairs and Public Relations, and An Haijing, Manager of Technical Center, have paid a visit to Bureau of Emergency Management of Tianjin. Wei Dong, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Emergency Management of Tianjin, Li Yongjian, Director of the Planning and Development Section, and relevant leaders of the Hazardous Chemicals Supervision Division attended the exchange activity. The two parties exchanged views regarding policies, cooperation models, and government-related requirements on differentiated service of safety consulting, qualification approval conditions, benign development of safety evaluation agencies, etc.
During the exchange meeting, Bureau Veritas made an introduction of its development history and a special report on the technical center services and work experience of safety evaluation. The Municipal Bureau of Emergency Management introduced the main features of safe production in the city, the current situation of safe production in key areas, the supervision requirements of Tianjin for safety evaluation agencies and the social service responsibilities that the agencies should undertake.
Wei Yungang stated, "Thanks to the detailed interpretation of laws and regulations and national standards of the safety evaluation industry by the Municipal Bureau of Emergency Management. Bureau Veritas will provide technical support for the field of instrumentation control in the hazardous chemical industry, for international academic exchange seminars and for training and exchange in management philosophy."
